General

You can connect the digital meter / smart meter with Eniris Insights and the Smartgrid controller.

For example, you can trace standby consumption (when electrical appliances work unnecessarily non-stop) or measure the consumption of certain household appliances.

These 'smart' applications are connected via the user port of your digital electricity meter.

It is also possible to monitor natural gas consumption.

What are the user-ports of your digital meter?

Under the yellow cover of your digital electricity meter there are 2 user ports, the P1 and the S1 port. You can connect a dongle via these user ports. Both user ports are complimentary and suitable for different applications.

The P1 port sends electricity data every second and gas data every 5 minutes. The digital gas meter transmits the gas data via the digital electricity meter. Your consumption (kWh), active power (kW) and some quality data are available via the P1 port.

Raw data is made available at a particularly high frequency to a smart app or thermostat via the 'fast' S1 port. In this way you can enable detailed consumption feedback and control.

Connectivity / Connection

We support multiple dongles for smart meter / digital meter reading: 2WIRE LOWI, Smartgateways, Youless. In addition, the Smartgrid Controller has a direct interface. We support DSMR 2.X, 4.X and 5.X.

Using our P1 dongle you have real-time access to all data from the digital meter (every 10 seconds). Both electrical consumption and gas consumption can be monitored.
