General

We prefer to use the SMA API for retrieving data from solar installations connected via Sunny Portal.

API Access

To use the API, it is required that the email address of the owner/system owner of the system on Sunny Portal is provided to us via info@eniris.be.

An email will then be sent from SMA to this email address with a link to grant us access to the installation data.

Through the API, we can retrieve information from the installations and, if desired, also control them (e.g. curtailment).

Access via periodic reading

To grant us access to your installation via periodic reading, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the installation that you wish to share with us.
  2. Under "Configuration", click on "User Management".
  3. Click on "New User" and add the email address "info+yourcompanyname@eniris.be".
  4. Give us User rights and click "Save".

Since you need to grant us access for each installation separately, this process can be time-consuming. Please contact us regarding the API, which allows us to automate this process.

Solar Gateway

With the Eniris Solar Gateway, you can read and control SMA inverters (e.g., curtailment). Together with the online platform Eniris Insights, you have the ability to visualize production data, store measurement data, generate reports for maintenance and financial analysis, and manage alarms.

Both the RS232 and RS485 interfaces of the SMA inverter are read.

In the case of Speedwire, an Ethernet type Solar Gateway is used.
